Planning Your Barbecue Wedding Breakfast
It’s called the wedding breakfast for the simple reason, it’s the first meal together as a married couple, let’s make sure it’s one to remember! The choices are simple and easy to make.
What type of barbecue should you have?
Buffet or Platters?
Having a barbecue for your wedding day is always going to be a relaxed and slightly less formal way to dine on your wedding day. Let’s put the menus aside for a moment and let’s decide how to serve your guests.
Barbecue Wedding Buffet
The most popular option is to have a buffet. This can be right in front of the chefs as they cook your chosen menu or placed a little closer to the dining area so your guests don’t have to travel quite as far. When Catering for large weddings we recommend having two or more buffet stations so that everyone gets to eat at a similar time.
Barbecue Wedding Sharing Platters
It’s always a temptation to have your guests served at their tables, but barbecue platters come with a few sacrifices that you must stick to! Barbecue sharing platters are a wonderful way to serve your guests with all the variety of a buffet without getting out of your seat. However, it comes at a price, you’ll need a lot more serving staff and large tables with next to no decoration on them to be able to serve sufficiently, perfect for any couple taking the minimalistic approach! But, if you like your decorations or might be tempted to put too many people on a table to help with your seating plan then go for the buffet!
In these modern times the list of dietary requirements is ever growing. At Sussex Chef we feel it is imperative that everyone at your wedding should be able to eat enjoy themselves and be able to eat and feel save in the knowledge that their dietary needs are being catered for. So if you or any of your guests require a Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Halal, Vegan or Kosher diet, or have any Allergies to be catered for the team at Sussex Chef are at your service.
