Planning your wedding evening food
The evening snack menu is a very important part of a wedding, typically used in two ways. The most popular is to serve your guests some out of this world food nearing midnight to keep the crowed partying late into the night. The other is to server it instead of the traditional wedding evening buffet this is a great option if you are having your sit down meal later on in the day or are just watching those pennies.
How many types of Evening snack should you have?
The sky’s the limit its all down to your personal preference, have lots of them or just one choice its up to you, Have them early or late what ever fits in with your day! Its your wedding after all!
Wedding evening food ideas
Wedding snacks can be so much fun! Here are a few of the more typical and most popular ideas.
World food stalls
For those weddings with plenty of space why not have a few different stalls and stands set up around the wedding venue serving different dishes from around the world?
Choices include but are not limited to…
- Fish and chip stand, Beauitfully presented fish and chip cones, with your choice of home made tarr tare sauce ot truffle and mint mushey peas.
- Mini pizza stand, choose a few of your favourite toppings and have them served in customised pizza boxes.
AmaricanSussex Hot dog stand. Local seasoned pork sausages with tomato and nigella seed chutney.
- Sliders and shakes bar, Home made burgers served in home made brioche buns with Local ice cream milk shakes.
- Paella, Cooked in front of your guests using top quality ingredients and real saffron, why not bring a taste of Spain to your wedding?
- Oyster and champagne bar, Oysters shucked to order with a glass of bubbles to keep them company.
- Pulled pork wraps with sweetcorn and chilli relish and garlic mayonaise.
Keep it simple
If your limited on space or just prefer a more modest approach to your wedding (often less is more!), it might me an idea to select a few snacks from our wedding evening snacks menu and have them circulated around the wedding venue on elegant trays. Our smartly dressed staff will offer up these wonderful home made treats for the sole.
For the more traditional couple
If your planning a more traditional wedding and would really like a traditional wedding evening buffet but would like to add a little twist, why not have an evening buffet made up of items from our evening snack menu? The will still give you a traditional feel to your wedding catering but will create a less formal atmosphere.
Catering for dietary requirments
In these modern times the list of dietary requirements is ever growing. At Sussex Chef we feel it is imperative that everyone at your wedding should be able to eat enjoy themselves and be able to eat and feel save in the knowledge that their dietary needs are being catered for. So if you or any of your guests require a Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Halal, Vegan or Kosher diet, or have any Allergies to be catered for the team at Sussex Chef are at your service.
